Autotext

Great app with frequent updates...keep up the good work!

Not sure if this has been requested before but a great addition to this app would be an option similar to the Autotext on the Blackberries.

Basically you can setup shortcuts for words and phrases. On my Blackberry I would type "u" (without the quotes) hit the space bar then the autotext would change it to "you"

If i typed "cm" and hit space it would change it to "call me 212.555.5555"

You get the idea... a user shortcut dictionary.

That's a pretty cool idea.

Yes, and I'd like to implement this just after the main bugs are fixed (if that day comes )

Love the autotext feature. Something I really missed on my bb. Can this function be extended to work with the droids physical kb? If so, that would be awesome.

Did you try ? It's supposed to work as well

Just tried it now and the autotext didn't work. Used my phys kb to type out this reply.

Ok... I'll check when I have time but it's supposed to work, so if it doesn't it should not be difficult to fix (hopefully)

Its working for me on physical keyboard.

Definitely not working on mu droid. Do I need to have a setting turned on?

Turns out, one of my other vkb was interfering with the smart kb. Disabled it and the autotext works.
